On August 2, 2014 Jessica and Evan were married in Jackson Hole, Wyoming... to be married in JH has been a dream of Jessica's since she was 8 years old.
The beautiful bride herself...
The weather was rainy that afternoon and on our way to the church. However, as soon as the ceremony began, the sun came out and the clouds disappeared. It was a beautiful scene to witness.
We had a small reception/celebratory dinner at the cabin {my parents rented} with approximately 40 of the bride and groom's closest family and friends.
Shall I give you an overview of the day? After a fabulous bridesmaids brunch at Cafe Genevieve downtown, Jean, a fellow bridesmaid, got us all dolled up with her hairdo skills.
The bride and groom chose not to see each other before she walked down the aisle so the girls stayed in the cabin
The happy parents of the bride...My mother planned and orchestrated the entire weekend and you would never know it by how giddy, excited and calm she was that day.
The ceremony decor was kept simple because who would want to be distracted from that perfectly framed view of the Tetons?
We loved our dresses and boots. We felt cute AND comfortable... and the dresses had pockets... Score!
It was an emotional moment for all of us when Dad got to see Jessica for the first time. He's so proud of his girls.
All of the grandparents were lined up ready to walk down the aisle... and Mrs. Vickie {Aaron's mom} was there to direct traffic...
Our cousins, Emily and Andrew, played and sang "Captivate Us" by Watermark. The windows of the chapel were open and we could hear the music while waiting... the combination of the words of the song, Em's angelic voice and the sentiment of the day caused me to almost lose it. Their song was a beautiful way to set the tone for the ceremony.
While Jessica walked towards Evan, their excited and emotional little stares were the sweetest thing you ever did see.
While standing up there as
Dr. Stan {Aaron's dad} preached a special message and blessing during the ceremony.
They said their vows before God and their closest family and friends, exchanged rings and sealed it with a kiss... then they became Mr. and Mrs. Evan Grovenstein!!!
... and we were all almost as excited as they were!
The mother of bride... I can't tell if this is a face of excitement, relief, delirium or maybe a little of each? I think a little of each...
Gosh I love these two lovebirds... and I am so excited for them. We literally could not have hand-picked a better boy for Jessica to spend the rest of her life with.
Part II coming soon!

ReplyDeleteEvan and Jessica’s day looks outstanding. I think that the planning for such special days needs a lot of time as well as creativity. We both are super creative with the DIY things so have decided to go for the economical DIY ceremony at one of the beachside NYC wedding venues. Have so many ideas in mind and we hope that they will execute well.
