Last Weekend

You know those friends that you hardly ever get to see, but when you get back together it's as if no time has passed since you're last time together?

The "Ury girls" are those kind of friends to us. We all played together as little girls... Joanna and I were the same age...

Maddi and Julie were the same age...

... and unfortunately our youngest and their youngest couldn't be there. It would have been complete!

I wish I had the time and energy to dig through some "oldies but goodies" of the six of us playing when we were younger... I guarantee you they would include dress up clothes, American girl dolls, mud pies, and a play house. Those were the days...

They have visited us in Fairhope before but it had been a few years, so we showed them all the highlights. Getting to spend some Carter girl-Ury girl time made for a perfect start to our Memorial Day weekend!

Some other pics from our weekend...

Guess who's beautiful home is in the background... Courtney and Clay's! One of these days I'll take y'all on a tour of this little house they built... it's straight out of a magazine no joke. Courtney knows it but she's just being modest... ;) ;)

Look, there's one of Lauren's paintings in the background! {Don't forget about the GIVEAWAY! Today is the last day to comment. The winner will be announced on Monday!}

They also have a sweet little bird family living in the cup holder of a lawn chair on their back porch.

Onto other things...

Photobucket

I put my party pants on... and we went to dinner with friends on the water...

Hey Court!

The boys like it when there's games to play at restaurants...

... and live music was a perfect way to end the weekend.

I am so thankful for the men and women who have fought and are currently fighting to give us an opportunity to live in freedom and security everyday. Because of their sacrifices, we can have fun carefree weekends such as these. Thank you thank you!!
