I'm back with
The glacier water was totally clear and depending on the location, came in various shades of blue and green.
Speaking of glaciers... the picture below is an example of the source of the beautiful Bow River and alpine lakes.
Seeing Lake Louise in person was unreal. The best way to describe it was a milky, creamy seafoam green.
One of my favorite things to do when we hike is climb on the rocks! I am sparing you the lovely picture Aaron took of me actually climbing up on the rock...
Aster daisies were everywhere along the trail...
... and when we reached our destination, we had tea and cookies. We decided we could get use to having tea and cookies and drinking Icees when we reach the turnaround for a hike!
The water at Moraine Lake was my favorite. That bright turquoise rivaled the Caribbean for sure.
There are definitely pros and cons to being up so high in elevation... a con would definitely be thin air, but a pro is how dark blue the sky is! And this waterfall was on one of the hikes up Cascade Mountain.
That was the view looking up and this {below} is the view looking out.
Ok, I've done all I can do for today. I will leave you with this photo of Canadian Thistle and I will be back soon with... MORE photos! Are you shocked? ;)
