Jane Gray and I were reunited {for the second time in two months!} last weekend for a shower in Jackson honoring her and baby James. I know, she doesn't even look pregnant in the picture above... :)

The shower was so tastefully done by her sweet aunts and cousins! She was showered in true southern style...

... and sweet grandmothers were there to celebrate...

We had loads of fun with these pretty little girls and they were such sweet helpers when it came time to open gifts! :)

When Jane Gray first told me she was preggo I was ECSTATIC of course... but then I was bummed because I was afraid I wouldn't even get to see her while she was pregnant... Little did I know we would get to see each other TWICE!! 

Our time together has been so special. God is good.

We have been...

... going non-stop these past couple of weeks!

{Aaron looks waaaay too comfortable driving the uhaul... haha}

What's been pre-occupying most of our time is MOVING! Yes, we can finally sign a 12 month lease... I never thought I'd see the day... At least we know that "I" will be living in the same place for 12 months {thanks to nursing school}. Aaron's situation is still up in the air but more on that later... Also, when we get everything situated, painted, and decorated in our new pad, I will take y'all on a tour!

Moving on to what we have been up to...

Sliced tomatoes with S&P, chicken cacciatore, and blackberries in my oatmeal are just a few ways we've been enjoying all of these fresh summer fruits and vegetables..

While we're on a healthy note, we have been triathlon training...

Aaron's been working out with a trainer and drinking protein shakes out of the blender... oh well, saves time on the dishes!

Buying the Sam's pack of Super Bubble was a bad idea... ulcers while homegrown tomatoes are in season is NOT a pleasant combination... :(

We've been enjoying the scenery of the great outdoors...

... and enjoying bonfires on semi-chilly nights.

We got the chance to travel over to Florida to see Aaron's cousins and meet the newest little addition to the family. We were supposed to go on a deep sea fishing trip but the weather didn't cooperate... but I wasn't complaining... Can you see why? I don't think Charlie baby was complaining either... 

"Playing house" all day was fine with me...

Blackberries and Birthdays

Early yesterday morning, Mom and I went over to a local blackberry farm to pick these enormous, juicy, organic berries.

It was hot... but I like to "work" for my food so it was worth it. 

There were rows upon rows of these beautiful berries and there are blueberries too. If you are local, click here and go pick you some!

While we were picking, we noticed a little bird nest...

One gallon in, we notice the little birdie baby is hatching!!! I've never gotten to watch this before.

He was working sooo hard to get out, bless his heart... He would push and then rest, push and then rest.   It was precious.

... and then this little bug-eyed baby took himself a well-deserved nap. 

Speaking of birthdays ... my baby sister turned 22 this week!

We had a family celebration that included gourmet hamburgers and homemade ice cream {that I forgot to photograph}, a special friend and my Momma's homemade caramel cake.
